Erica saw a sign in the window of the diner that said that they were hiring. Naturally she inquired within to find that there was a waitress job open, which was the only opening she was interested in. She felt she'd be a decent waitress and perhaps get a good amount of tips. The application was easy sailing by now, she knew the drill all too well. A girl just the same stared at her as she filled it out like somehow it would make her mess up.
As she finished with it she pushed it towards the lady that had given it to her. The lady looked it over and nodded in approval. Erica knew her references were pretty much as good as gold. Her past bosses had loved her as an employee. Yes she worked hard, but perhaps too hard at times. She could remember those days off where she'd be walking around sore and just wanting the world to stop and let her rest for awhile.
The lady told her that she could start the next day. That seemed fine to her, she couldn't care less what day she started. She most days seemed to be wonder woman. Erica knew how to get stuff done on time and on schedule for the most part. There were times it didn't go as planned, but it was out of her hands.
"You can count on me to be here," Erica told the lady and than walked over to one of the tables near the windows. She sat down and decided to watch how the waitresses operated their side of things. It was than that she realized that the girl that had watched her fill out the application was the head honcho of the waitresses. That girl got her way no matter what was her's and what was the other girls'. She took the good tables with the high tippers and the other girls obeyed. This girl would be the one to watch her back around.
